It is not strange to us hearing a suggestion like this from our parents or teachers while we paint.
"I love you, kids, therefore, I give what I think is good to you" they often said.
Because of their love we are used to look at things with his/her, the norm/mainstream's beloved shapes, sizes, colors, etc.
How can we spend much less time understanding, appreciating and respecting the complexity, dynamics, niceties, uniqueness of beings?

我還記得國小的時候,美勞課時被老師罵過兩次:第一次是因為蘋果的顏色沒塗"滿"--粉蠟筆的筆觸之間有空隙;第二次是因為我畫的鬱金香葉子不像"真的"鬱金香葉子......當時是真的滿傷心也很想抗議啊。

所以我相信不視為理所當然,換一個角度想,逆向思考,應該就可以有更大的空間和可能性吧!孩子就像白紙一樣,他們看到的世界也許會比大人有趣啊
